Théâtre National de Bretagne in China

The Théâtre National de Bretagne’s first tour of China, organized by Hybridités France-Chine, was a resounding success. The theater presented two major works at two iconic Chinese venues: *Mes Frères* by Pascal Rambert, directed by Arthur Nauzyciel, from October 24 to 26 at the Wuzhen Theatre Festival. Then Les Paravents, Jean Genet’s masterpiece, also directed by Arthur Nauzyciel, at the People’s Art Theatre International Drama Festival in Beijing, from October 30 to November 1. These two productions allowed Chinese audiences to discover the aesthetic of contemporary French theater through works that are both stylistically powerful and deeply expressive.
