Honor of Kings, an original musical co-produced by Poly Performing Arts and Honor of Kings

For the production of Honor of Kings, Poly Performing Arts and Honor of Kings invited an international team with the mission of telling an Eastern fantasy story well. Popular heroes were selected from Honor of Kings, the most-played battle game in the world, designed by Tencent Games, and reimagined in an artistic way. Honor of Kings tells the story of Yao, who is given a mission to save the world during the anniversary ceremony of the Jixia Academy. Over the course of his mission, he meets many figures; thus the story of an innocent young man begins and ends with much blossoming and metamorphosis. With sound and visual elements, Honor of Kings takes the audience into the world of Eastern fantasy through song, dance, and shifting scenery, following Yao’s adventure. The artistic team also brought the personalities and special traits of the game’s characters to life through magic, contemporary dance, electronic music, and other art forms, presenting an imaginary world on stage.
