Hello, Little Monsters on tour in China

Hybridités France-Chine’s new production, Hello, Little Monsters, has been touring China since July 2022. Hello, Little Monsters, a film-concert accompanied by live screenings of European animated films, arrives in Guangzhou in August. Conceived and produced by Hybridités France-Chine, this project brings together artists from many countries and carries the audience on waves of sound to encounter fantastic creatures from a parallel universe. All eight animated films feature “little monsters,” the common thread of this event, for an imaginative and poetic journey about meeting, parting, blossoming, and metamorphosis. The stubborn little monster from a blue planet, colors dancing with madness, the symphony orchestra playing with bodies, the encounter across the sea…… Hello, Little Monsters brings together the art of cinema and the art of the stage for the summer of 2022. The show has carefully selected for Chinese audiences a series of internationally award-winning original animated short films with diverse themes and varied styles, from France, Denmark, the United Kingdom, and other countries. Wang Jing, founder of Hybridités France-Chine, invited the talented musician Li Xiaoyun to join as sound director and lead performer. Li Xiaoyun not only composed music with an electronic touch for each short film but will also team up with Foley artist Zhang Xiaochen to give the audience a unique visual and sound experience with live music and Foley performance.
