The World Theatre Festival Shizuoka 2023 will showcase a play directed by by Chinese director Meng Jinghui, titled “Einstein’s Dream”, which has been performed and highly acclaimed in many famous theatre festivals at home and abroad and is one of the classics of Meng Jinghui’s directorial works.
“Einstein’s Dreams’ is a captivating play that offers a unique and imaginative interpretation of the final moments of Albert Einstein’s life, exploring profound questions about the nature of reality, the universe, and human existence.

The festival, founded in 1988, has become one of the important platforms for world theatre arts. It will be held from April 29 to May 7, 2023 in Shizuoka, Japan, and will present a series of wonderful performances from around the world, showcasing the diversity and uniqueness of theatre cultures.
